the day i read something and feel like commenting

on last sunday, i read something on the newspaper. the sunday times if i'm not mistaken. the column where readers sent their messages. the issue was the price of fuel (of course)

there was this one msg from one reader which really caught my attention. i could not remember the exact wording, but it went something like this

"our situation now reminds me of an old saying. 'don't ask what your country can do for you, but ask what you can do for your country'. we are facing difficult times now and bla bla (can't remember tp ayat lbeh kurang maksud our country is doing it's best to benefit everybody) sambungan: but here we citizens are shouting and screaming over cheap fuel!"

faham kan what i'm trying to say here. don't get me wrong. aku ni bukanlah pro- kerajaan sangat sampai nak menyokong dengan beria semua tindakan kerajaan. but what the reader said proved a point. sampai bila nak bergantung dgn subsidi. minyak kita makin kurang and some steps need to be taken to improve things. memanglah membebankan harga minyak naik ni tapi mesti ada rasional di sebalik kerajaan buat macam tu. kesimpulannya, macam aku cakap sebelum ni, terpaksa terima jela ye wahai rakyat- rakyat malaysia
